Local Religion and Urban Legends

2025 is the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Powell United Methodist Church. As part of the celebration, Powell-Liberty Historical Society volunteer, Sherry Carmichael, presented Local Religion and Urban Legends. Included are a summary of some of the history of Liberty Township, background of some of the early churches, and the key individuals who developed the area amd formed the churches.
