Summary

In keeping with Veterans Day celebrations Marilyn Battin, Amanda Henning and Sherry Carmichael presented a program about local war veterans. Highlighted were several men and women of Liberty Township who served their country from the Revolutionary War through the Korean War. The program utilized the historical society's personal photos, diaries, and other memorabilia all of which brought alive what life was like in the community during wartime. Powell can be proud of the many men and women who served, and continue to serve today, their country honorably.
