Murphy's Party Barn
Willmoe Murphy, after her family started the Powell Speedway, concentrated on using the old fairgrounds’ exhibit building as a party barn to host many parties and events, with guests such as Minnie Pearl and Woody Hayes. The 100+ acre property was sold in 2001. Today, a portion of the land is home to Murphy’s Park with picnic tables, a walking path, and a playground.
