Summary
In a pre-recorded video, Sherry Carmichael portrayed Irena Carpenter, the matriarch of the first white family to settle in Delaware County. Irena read her journal which told the story of her family's journey from Connecticut to central New York and then in 1801 to what we know as Liberty Township today.
The script was written and portrayed by Sherry Carmichael and the video was produced and edited by Allen Miller, both Powell-Liberty Historical Society volunteers.
