Summary
If you ever found an “arrowhead” or know someone who did, you might have wondered about its origin. Steve Schenck, is a life-long resident of Delaware County and Liberty Township and long-standing member for 45 years of the Archaeological Society of Ohio. He will discuss the earliest people to visit and explore Delaware County and Liberty Township beginning nearly 14,000 years ago. Who were the first people to visit Liberty Township & Delaware County? Where did they come from? How did they survive and evolve? What evidence did they leave? The discussion intends to provide a glimpse into the lives of these people and their cultures that came and inhabited our township and county. Evidence and examples of their existence will be presented as well as actual artifacts to see.

Adventure Park is located off Liberty Road on the west side ¼ mile north of the traffic light in downtown Powell and just south of Grace Drive (the post office is on Grace Drive). There is a large white sign welcoming you to the park. Please park between the skate park and the building with a green roof and enter through the door across from the playground.
