Powell Liberty Historical Society

A window into the past of Powell and Liberty Township

Summary

A grant funded by the Jack and Jane VanFossen Fund of the Delaware County Foundation was used to paint the Martin-Perry House kitchen ceiling and woodwork, and to replace the wallpaper. The ceiling was in desparate need of paint after repairs necessitated by a roof leak. The trim and wallpaper were also showing the wear and tear of nearly 40 years of use. The painting and paper removal were performed by Marshall Moyer and his son Everett. Wallpapering was competed by Stan Hibler. All were first-class professionals and did a superb job. As shown in the included pictures, the kitchen is now much brighter with a fresh clean look, ready for another 40 years. Thanks to the VanFossen Fund and the Delaware County Foundation for making this possible, and thanks to the Moyers and Stan Hibler for a first-class effort.
