A window into the past of Powell and Liberty Township
Summary
With potentially dangerous storms brewing, the decision was made to cancel the walking tour of the Powell cemetery to avoid the risk of getting caught in the storm. Instead we gathered in the meeting room at the Martin-Perry to watch the recorded video of last year's tour.
Taking a virtual tour was not ideal, but it allowed us to proceed and avoid the storm risk. Our tour guide, Sherry Carmichael shared interesting comments and anecdotes allowing the participants time for questions and interact with each other. Many thanks to our videographer, Allen Miller, for sharing the video.
At the end of the virtual tour, we enjoyed some cool refreshments and pleasant conversation.
The tour has been reschedule for August 29, 2022. Reservations will be required. Those who had registered for the June tour will be given preference. Details will be provided later.
