Julian E. Sharp and his son-in-law, Don Canfield, bought the Scott Brothers Hardware in 1921. Their hardware store was in business until 1948. Powell Hardware and then Powell Village Antiques followed before the building was demolished for Jeni's Ice Cream which opened in 2010.
