I enjoyed the article on Powell Speedway in This Week Community News from June 2014, which I just recently stumbled across. Shy and Anna Murphy were my dad's great-uncle and aunt. We used to have family picnics there when I was very young (in the 1960s). My parents were also active members of Central Ohio Corvette Club, which used to hold on-track events at the speedway. Attached is a picture of me on my Honda Trail 70 that was taken during an intermission at one of those events (in about 1972). I'm on the north end of the inner oval and you can see the backstretch of the outer oval in the background.
