Date/Time
7/8/2019 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Summary
A "Historic House and Garden Tour" will be given by Carole Wilhelm, a long-time member of the Powell Liberty Historical Society and the Powell Area Garden Club. She will share the story of the Society's formation and provide a tour of the 1889 Martin-Perry House, highlighting some of its significant collection. A walk around the outside of the home will feature history of the plantings and special items on the property. Linda Miller, an active member of both organizations, will assist with the tour. Garden Club members and friends of Jo Cornish-Gerwig from Farmers Insurance have been invited to be recognized for their commitment to work in the gardens. For the second season since Jo's death, her co-workers have shown their admiration for her by joining club members in providing planting and cleanup. The Society wishes to publicly thank these volunteers. Jo was a key member of the historical society and the garden club. The evening will include a summer treat of ice cream!
