J J Prats, retired computer programmer and data base designer, and Editor of the Historical Marker Data Base.
the Story of the Historical Marker Data Base
Always interested in local history, JJ has collected many photographs and information about historical markers of interest throughout the country. His hobby took off as other like-minded folks nationwide joined him to create what is now a significant online resource for local history. The Historical Marker Data Base was born.
JJ Prats will tell us about the 12 year history of the data base, including a map of some nearby markers, the genesis of roadside markers, and a few words about Ohio's brown markers.
