Title
Living History Program about Pilgrims
Presenter
Tim Kreps
Date/Time
11/12/2018 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Summary
Tim is a 33 year veteran master teacher whose many honors include Ohio Council for Social Studies High School Teacher of the Year, Sylvania Schools Teacher of the Year, Awarded Who’s Who Among American Teachers, invited presenter for conferences, inservice meetings, assemblies, classrooms, scouts and other meetings, and a member of the Ohio Flintlock and Rendezvous Association. Now retired, Tim enjoys presenting Living History re-enactments of a French Voyager Fur Trader, Mark Twain, Thing-a-ma-Jugs, and for us on November 12, a pilgrim. Tim reenacts a pilgrim by putting on his pilgrim hat, waistcoat and sabots to share pilgrim adventures. The stories begin in England and Holland and continue with vivid images of the crossing and survival in Plymouth Plantation. Many artifacts will be used to tell the story of the pilgrims contact with the Wampanoag Indians. Firing a rifle and starting a fire with flint and steel will be an exciting part of the program. We hope you can join us on Monday evening as Tim takes us on an adventure with a Pilgrim.
